I’m Not Sad but I’m Not Happy

When I’m happy, I easily know the reason why I’m smiling But when I’m sad, little by little my hope in life is vanishing When happiness comes, the time flies so fast But when sadness comes, It helps me realize what I have When I feel sad, I try to find a solution so that I don’t have to be sad But when I’m happy, I’m hoping to stay like this But then I realized sadness sometimes bring the best in myself and without sadness, life is incomplete.

“Bad things do happen; how I respond to them defines my character and the quality of my life. I can choose to sit in perpetual sadness, immobilized by the gravity of my loss, or I can choose to rise from the pain and treasure the most precious gift I have – life itself.” – Walter Anderson
